Removing blood stains needn’t be a problem. Following some simple steps will result in a good outcome. But possibly the most important tip is to only ever use cold water as a first step. I cannot stress enough how important this is. Using lukewarm water or hot water will definitely set the blood stain into the fiber. Also it will make it almost impossible to remove.
Remember, cold water first, always. Pour the water directly onto the stain. Leave the water for a few minutes. Then gently wipe the blood stain from the outside towards the middle. Once the water has started to dry a bit after wiping, re-wet again. Wipe again gently. And keep going. It will be time consuming. But take your time.
Often it may well be easier just to call a carpet cleaner. If the stain is large or there are a number we may well be able to clean it up much quicker. Please keep this in mind.
