Mattress cleaning is another service we provide. Being similar to the cleaning of upholstered furniture, regular maintenance is important. For a clean and healthy home, mattress cleaning needs to be taken into account. Also the removal of dust mites and allergens is especially important for many people. The cleaning of mattresses can help alleviate these issues.

Method for Mattress Cleaning

We use the Hot Water Extraction (steam cleaning) method for mattress cleaning. Firstly we use a pre-spray to loosen soiling and stains. Following the pre-spray we use a hot water extraction machine to clean the mattress. The hot water extraction machine uses very hot water. With water approaching 110 degrees the removal of dust mites is very effective. The minimum required temperature is 55 degrees. With our large truck-mounted machine we are able to generate considerably more heat.

Drying time for mattress cleaning varies. However on a good day drying will take around 2-3 hours. Also, when ceiling fans are used the drying time is quite quick. All mattresses are able to be used the same night after cleaning. This is due to our quality upholstery cleaning tool not wetting the inside padding.

Staining

Staining on Mattresses can be quite difficult to remove. The difficulty depends mostly on the time the staining has been there. The covering material used in mattresses is called Ticking. Being a cotton material this can make it quite difficult to remove stains.

Bedhead cleaning

Have your fabric covered bedheads cleaned at the same time. It is a simple task to clean these items. This bedhead below was covered in a micro-fiber material and cleaned quite well. There was some dust evident across the top. It’s important to vacuum this along with other soft furnishings.
