Massive Stains: Prompt attention is needed
There are a number of everyday household stains that need prompt attention. Massive stains are able to be removed often quite satisfactorily if given prompt attention. Getting this prompt attention to the stain will make removal much easier, whether by a householder or a professional. Leaving some stains for any length of time or not cleaning them up at all until a carpet is cleaned down the track can result in a not so satisfactory outcome. Coffee is a good example where cleaning the spill up straight away will save some problems that could occur if not attended to in an adequate time frame. So, there are some stains that are very difficult to remove if not attended to in a timely manner. Blood is another. Simply using cold water will often remove blood stains. Leaving it for a month or two and it can be quite difficult to remove.
Spaghetti on carpet
Below is a large bowl of Spaghetti on a wool carpet. The size of the stain here would normally require the attendance of an actual professional carpet cleaner. Cleaning up the excess is a good start though. The type of carpet fibre has some bearing on the result as well, fibers can react differently to acid or alkaline stains. Man-made fibers are for the most part easier to get stains out of. However the wool fiber is naturally resistant to many stains.
There was also some splatter on both chairs. These required some spot removal as well, successfully. In this case I used our very own Carpet and Upholstery cleaner.
