Our work today was a Fairfield carpet cleaning job. The carpet cleaned quite well though there were some particular issues that are not entirely uncommon. One of the issues today was the soil filtration lines or soiling lines on the carpet.
Soil Filtration Lines
This type of soiling can be quite difficult to rectify. Firstly, it is caused by air passing over the top of the carpet or through the carpet and depositing soiling and oil onto the carpet fibre. It is noticeable around the edges of the carpet up against walls. However it will also be evident if doors are shut and air passed underneath the doors. Sometimes difficult to remove
These oil based stains can be quite difficult to remove. Because they have often been on the carpet for a considerable length of time, the carpet may well be permanently discoloured and stained. Synthetic fibres are normally the best for cleaning these lines off. The cleaning of these stains from wool fibres can be quite a bit more difficult.
This Fairfield carpet cleaning job did for the most part clean quite well. For the age of the carpet and degree of soiling the customer was quite happy. Some time was spent cleaning the soil filtration lines around the walls, near the blinds and in doorways where the doors had been closed.
